Most of them are the children of Generation X (Baby Boomers). I am a millennial, and this is my story, <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/2025\/08\/11\/how-to-write-a-reflection-paper\/\">a reflective essay<\/a> about the challenges affecting my generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was lucky to grow up in the age of the Internet. As early as 14, I could operate a computer, and my favorite program was Microsoft Paint. However, our kids come across <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/category\/technology\/\">technology<\/a> from birth. With time, the influx of mobile devices made me discover the Internet and social media. Nowadays, I can also handle complex <a href=\"https:\/\/webandgraphix.co.ke\/advertising-graphic-design\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graphic Design<\/a> software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges Facing the Millennial Generation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, my generation faces the highest levels of unemployment. To make matters worse, those in the labor market work for peanuts &#8211; low wages and salaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember, this generation was affected by two recessions \u2013 the Great Recession from late 2007 to 2009 and the 2020 Recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mindshiftwellnesscenter.com\/10-biggest-challenges-millennials-face-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">negative factors<\/a> that affect my age mates are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>College Debt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crime<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sex and Substance Abuse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The effects of HIV\/Aids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discrimination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inflation and tough economic times<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National debt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/2025\/10\/26\/mental-health\/\">Mental health<\/a> issues, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bullying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although we love social media, sometimes we deal with cyberbullying that breaks us down. Consequently, this leads to poor mental health among millennials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My Thoughts Regarding Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luckily, technology is with us, though it brings a few problems. It is not strange to find anyone born from the dawn of Gen Y spending many resources on Tech. For instance, social media consumes their time. Someone may also break the bank to buy a digital asset like an iPhone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personally, Tech has transformed me. I\u2019d rather spend time blogging, programming, <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/category\/writing\/\">writing<\/a>, designing something, or <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/10\/who-is-a-content-creator\/\">creating content<\/a> than engaging in substance abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interesting facts About the Millennials<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They are becoming bolder and more enlightened in making stout decisions. We have risen to challenge the status quo affecting social, political, religious, cultural, and economic affairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generation Y members have fewer children \u2013 we were born when the world started facing a drop in fertility rates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most of us are the parents of Generation Alpha (kids born from 2010 toward the 2020s).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our predecessors often refer to us as the entitled ones \u2013 they believe computers make our lives easier and more convenient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Millennials are very gifted! Most of us use our talents to survive. This generation comprises talented singers, sophisticated tech experts, intelligent journalists, <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/category\/writing-skills\/\">writers<\/a>, sportsmen, and <a href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/blog\/2025\/07\/10\/who-is-a-content-creator\/\">diverse content creators<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/falconremote.com\/place-order\">Send Me a Gig<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parting Shot on My Reflective Essay!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every day I wake up believing that tomorrow will be a better day. As a Gen Y comrade, I have lived to witness a lot of vices in our societies \u2013 such as corruption, nepotism, tribalism, racism, bullying, and all sorts of discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I toil to ensure that my kids do not go hungry or encounter the challenges I faced. Ultimately, talents and job creation are our remaining weapons of survival. Every cloud has a silver lining!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, I would end this reflective essay by encouraging my age mates to keep fighting. I understand depression is wrecking apart my generation, but we must press on.
