One of the most followed yet controversial facets of life is religion. It has a long history marked by divisions and conflicts. Religion also plays a crucial role in both politics and culture. We rely on it for inspiration, education, molding responsible generations, and so on. However, nowadays, the rampant misuse of altars is causing more harm than good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, in this context, I will use the terms “religion”<\/em><\/strong> and “cult”<\/em><\/strong> interchangeably, as religions emerge from cults. Although most cults are small groups, they are extremely devoted to a charismatic leader who manipulates or exploits members. These leaders can be deities, prophets, or a divine incarnation with supernatural authority. Therefore, without any form of contradiction, I insist that most religions are overgrown cults!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, world leaders are using the pulpit to develop and enrich themselves at the expense of the masses. Some cause conflicts while hiding in religion, as others gain political mileage backed by it. Indeed, politics is deeply rooted in religion, and throughout history, religion has been the foundation of political empires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rise of False and Fake Prophets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Africa is one of the places that is infested by false religions. Prophets of doom mushroom from all corners of the continent \u2013 some performing fake miracles while others promise hope in exchange for money. Given that people are desperate for miracles, these prophets have mastered their game and will deliver what they want!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

False and fake prophets preach the gospel of prosperity while raking in profits. We have mega churches everywhere, whereas poverty drives the masses to false religions and cults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are the Most Affected by False Religion?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Women and children are the most impacted by such activities. Perhaps, this trend is backed by their nature. Unfortunately, women are susceptible, whereas children obey instructions from adults. Therefore, this brings us to the topic of cults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most cults sprout from religion, and they have a stout connection. Are we heading towards destruction without caution, or is this the long-awaited time for spiritual awakening?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s more, many secrets are coming out. Scholars, researchers, clergymen, and leaders of goodwill are beginning to open the can of worms. For example, no trace in the Bible says that Christ came to establish a mega church or will eventually come to open one. It turns out that most mega churches are the centers of manipulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, more questions are being raised regarding the Islamic faith. Debates are emerging to demystify the true origin of Islam. For instance, is Baal related to Hubal<\/a>, who is allegedly known as Allah?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Islamic sources testify that the chief deity of Mecca and the lord of the Kabah was Hubal, who was worshiped as the moon god<\/a>. Hubal was also the idol whom Muhammad\u2019s tribe and family worshiped. The evidence further suggests that the Meccans even referred to him as Allah, since the Muslim literature attests that Muhammad\u2019s grandfather would pray to Allah while standing before Hubal\u2019s idol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, Kenya plans to control religion, but clerics oppose this move whenever the government introduces this topic. They often claim that the state is fighting religion. It seems like we are walking on a slim path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Religion and Cultism as the Center of Worship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These are some of the major pillars that control societies. Nevertheless, if left unmonitored, these aspects lead the masses astray. Extreme radical movements often emerge from religion. All in all, political affiliations can be easily broken, but faith is something else. Therefore, what is the way forward to ensure safe religious acts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a cult leader is equivalent to taking a permanent oath. Many times, it is not easy to reverse the faith of a brainwashed follower. If you succeed in rehabilitating a cult follower, they will still exhibit lasting mental health problems. Some even end up committing suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the good news is that we are ushering in an era of awakening. Many are beginning to open their eyes. Indeed, this is the time that people should start questioning their belief systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone should trust their instincts \u2013 listen to your conscience carefully and distinguish true worship from false religion. Humans are unique beings because they possess a spirit capable of discernment. Men have a will, unlike beasts that cannot differentiate good and evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are these spiritual leaders draining our energy while uplifting themselves? If we are willing to die for false prophecy, then our stake is at risk. Nowadays, people buy anointing oil; contribute hefty amounts of cash to altars, and even make sacrifices to please gods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that any spiritual figure selling you anointing oil, white handkerchiefs for miracles, cowrie shells, beads, and other artifacts is possibly practicing witchcraft?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, we are very desperate for fake promises in the name of miracles. To add more salt, politicians are also in this mix. Before taking a public office, most of them visit worship centers and shrines to validate themselves. Religion is evolving into a major hub for all evil deeds. Reason: that is where the masses dwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
